At this exciting stage where big adventures begin, our Primary 1 Programmes sparks curiosity and nurtures a love for learning. Through fun and interactive lessons in English and Mathematics, your child will develop essential skills and confidence, setting them on a joyful path of discovery and growth.
Our P1 English Programme builds essential vocabulary, phonics skills and basic sentence structures through fun and interactive activities. Aligned to CEFR Pre-A1, it builds students’ confidence in speaking, listening and early reading. This supportive play-based approach lays a strong foundation for language learning and prepares your child for future academic success.
Students will learn 300–500 high-frequency words, including everyday nouns, verbs and adjectives through engaging picture-word games and interactive vocabulary activities.
Introduction to letter sounds, blends and simple CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words to build early decoding and reading skills.
Learn to form simple present-tense sentences (e.g. I like apples. She is my friend.) through sentence-building activities and guided writing exercises.
Develop the ability to understand simple instructions and follow short stories. Activities include listening games, audio stories and question-and-answer sessions.
Build confidence in using English for greetings, self-introduction, expressing likes and dislikes and participating in simple classroom conversations through role-play and dialogue exercises.
Retell short stories using picture prompts, sequence events and dramatize simple stories to strengthen comprehension and narrative skills.
